Growing together in personal holiness by seeing the suffering face of Jesus Christ in our neighbors in need.
Fostering true Christian fraternity, humility, and trust among members across our parishes and in each home visited.
Providing concrete, practical aid without judgment—including utilities, rental vouchers, food, and community advocacy.
Our 4 Patrons & Home Visit Teams
Every home visit in Eunice is conducted in pairs, guided by the intercession and living example of four holy pioneers of Vincentian charity.
Blessed Frédéric Ozanam
Affectionately: “’Tit Fred”
Principal founder of the Society in 1833 as a 20-year-old law student in Paris. He called the Church to put faith into concrete action and encircle the globe with a network of charity.
St. Vincent de Paul
Affectionately: “St. Vinnie”
The 17th-century Apostle of Charity and patron of Christian mercy. He combined overflowing compassion with practical organizing genius, insisting: “Love God with the sweat of our brow and strength of our arms.”
Blessed Rosalie Rendu
Affectionately: “T-Rosalie” / “Coach Rosie”
Daughter of Charity who served Paris’s poorest quarter for 50 years. When young Frédéric and his companions started, Sister Rosalie coached them on how to walk into tenement homes with genuine humility.
St. Louise de Marillac
Affectionately: “T-Weeze” / “Sister Lou”
Co-founder of the Daughters of Charity alongside St. Vincent. The operational heart of the movement who established clinics, orphanages, and direct mobile relief teams for forgotten families.
Scriptural Foundation of the Home Visit
In strict adherence to the Rule and Christ’s commissioning in Luke 10:1-12, our Vincentians are sent out in pairs. We cross thresholds with respect, greeting each home with: “Peace to this household.” We do not summon the poor to sit in bureaucratic waiting rooms; we enter their environment as humble guests and respectful friends.
Programs & Neighbor Support
No work of charity is foreign to the Society. Our Lady of Eunice Conference provides direct financial and spiritual support to individuals and families experiencing crisis.
Utility Disconnect Relief
Direct pledge assistance for past-due electric, water, and gas bills, coordinating directly with utility providers to prevent shut-offs.
Eviction Prevention & Rent
Emergency rental vouchers and landlord mediation to keep families housed, prevent homelessness, and bring stability to households in distress.
Food & Emergency Essentials
Providing immediate food vouchers, pantry packages, and necessary basic toiletries to neighbors whose pantry shelves have run dry.
Advocacy & Systemic Change
Accompanying neighbors past temporary relief to long-term self-sufficiency by connecting with job training and health programs.
